Gillingham keeper Simon Royce has ended weeks of speculation over his future by signing a new one-year deal.
The 37-year-old has made 88 league and cup appearances for the Gills since arriving, initially on loan, from QPR at the end of the 2006/07 season.
He was an instant hit with the fans, and was voted player of the season the following year.
Royce played a key role in the Gills' return to League One last season, keeping 20 clean sheets.
