Gillingham boss Mark Stimson believes striker Simeon Jackson could become the club's first player in seven years to get 20 goals in one season.
The 21-year-old scored his 16th goal of the campaign against Darlington and needs only four more to equal Marlon King's tally from the 2001/02 season.
Stimson told BBC Radio Kent: "He'll go for that, he probably should.
"There are 10 games to go. I think his average is probably 1.25 goals every three games, so he has got a chance."
Stimson added: He's in good form and it's nice to have someone in your squad who you know is capable of scoring every other game."
