Notts County 0-1 Gillingham

Gillingham climbed to second in the table with a win over Notts County courtesy of a Simeon Jackson goal.

Jackson bagged his 17th of the season when he turned and finished from an Andy Barcham flick on from a throw-in.

Despite a recent poor run, the Magpies gave as good as they got and would have scored but for Barry Fuller's goal-line clearance from Mike Edwards' header.

Vale's Matt Hamshaw also saw a mis-hit cross cannon off the post, while Delroy Facey missed two good chances.
