Northwich are on the brink of relegation after they were beaten 1-0 by Ebbsfleet United.

Fleet defender James Smith headed home John Martin's corner midway through the second half to take the home side seven points clear of the bottom four.

Kyle Perry had been close to giving the visitors an unexpected lead but his volley went wide.

Vics need to win their next game, at home to Woking on Tuesday, to have any chance of avoiding the drop.
