Facey scored three goals for the Gills in the 2007-08 season
Out-of-favour striker Delroy Facey will play for Gillingham again this week, despite being put up for transfer.
Facey, 28, has spent time considering his future and has spoken to other League Two clubs but has failed to reach an agreement with the Gills.
Manager Mark Stimson is now giving Facey a chance to fight for his place.
"They haven't come to a settlement so Delroy will come back into the building on Monday and he'll compete for a place up front," said Stimson.
"He's obviously a couple of weeks behind people because he hasn't been training but we've got a couple of games this week - Wednesday at Ipswich and Saturday we've got Birmingham and we've got a team to go to Folkestone.
"So he'll certainly be playing and we've got a training game on Thursday that he'll probably play in," Stimson added.
Facey played in 32 matches for Gillingham last season, scoring three times, but he ended the campaign on loan at Wycombe.
