Mulligan has extended his stay at Gillingham

Gillingham striker Gary Mulligan does not think his goal on Saturday will mean a return to the starting line-up.

Mulligan scored the Gills late equaliser at Bournemouth with just his second touch after coming on as sub.

He was left out of the starting line-up at the expense of Simeon Jackson and Mark McCammon.

But Mulligan told BBC Radio Kent: "Those two did well. I will probably be on the bench again but if I get a chance I'll take it."

"I thought last year we didn't create many chances but we created four or five good ones. I hope we can continue that."
