Gateshead have announced that Bermuda international Tyrell Burgess will have a pre-season trial at the club.
The 24-year-old midfielder currently plays in the West Indies for Bermuda Hogges, after being released by Canadian side Vancouver Whitecaps.
Burgess was recommended to Gateshead by former Manchester City and Bermuda international striker Shaun Goater.
Chairman Graham Wood has also confirmed that Gateshead are currently in the market for seven players.
And he told the Evening Chronicle that Burgess could be a good addition to the squad.
"He is a good height and age and is keen to play in England with Gateshead," he said.
"His father is paying for his flight and he will train every day with the squad and play in a few friendlies, and we will then assess the situation."
