Rain wins at Derby despite Wes Durston's half-century
FRIENDS PROVIDENT t20, Derby: No result - Derbyshire 172-3 (19 ovs) v Durham Match scorecard
Umpires Nigel Llong and Michael Gough talk to Derbyshire ground staff
Wes Durston's second explosive FP t20 knock was in vain as Derbyshire and Durham were cut short by the rain.
Durston, who hit a Derbyshire Twenty20 record of 111 against Nottinghamshire on Friday, smashed 71 off 53 balls.
It included three sixes, one off England's ICC World Twenty20-winning captain Paul Collingwood.
South African Loots Bosman also chipped in with 57 as Derbyshire made 172-3 from 19 overs before the rain arrived to end the contest.
It left Derbyshire frustrated as they were just five runs short of their biggest Twenty20 score at Derby.
Paul Collingwood told BBC Radio Newcastle: "It always nice to come back and play for the county. We all know the international schedule is very hectic so there's not many opportunities (to play for Durham).
"With the rehabilitation of the shoulder injury and a little bit of rest over the last couple of weeks, I needed games under my belt to go into the important one-day series for England.
"It's not very nice to have the game rained off but it's nice to start hitting balls again in this past week and getting some overs under my belt."
