Gateshead midfielder Christophe Ascherl has left the club to join Northern League side Bedlington Terriers.
Ascherl, 23, joined the Tynesiders after a spell in United States and German football but failed to earn himself a regular first-team place.
"Ascherl goes to Bedlington with our best wishes for the future," said Gateshead manager Ian Bogie.
"He was a credit to himself during his brief time at Gateshead, his attitude was excellent."
