Forest Green have announced that one of their two goalkeeping coaches, Mick Byrne, has left the Nailsworth club.

Byrne had worked under several Rovers managers since joining on a consultancy basis in 2004/05, under Alan Lewer.

"He initially came on a part-time basis, while he was serving in the armed forces," a club statement said.

"Latterly he combined his current new employment alongside his match day duties, sharing goalkeeping coaching duties with Kevin Phillips."
