Blue Square Premier side Forest Green Rovers could be set to host international stars, should England be successful in their 2018 World Cup bid.
The club's facilities will make up one element of Bristol's bid to become a host city for the prospective event.
Each of the 16 applicant cities have to put together a series of "cluster groups", to include accommodation details, training and media facilities.
Rovers are nominated as a venue for public training and a media centre.
A statement on the club's website read: "To be selected means ticking many of the boxes which are required by Fifa, but every journey must start somewhere.
"We met to finalise what the club could offer one of the competing national teams in relation to staging public training sessions and the attendant media involvement.
"Even if at the end of the day we do not finish up hosting one of the finalists in 2018, it will not be for want of trying."
Bristol has included five cluster groups in its bid, which will be presented to the English bid team on 27 November. A decision on which cities will be selected is then expected to be made on 14 December.
Forest Green's facilities are included alongside the Tortworth Court Hotel in South Gloucestershire and Filton College as the private training centre.
The news comes in the same week as the club received approval to change their club structure to that of a limited company by shareholding.
