Forest Green boss Dave Hockaday has made striker Tomi Ameobi his seventh signing since taking over at the New Lawn two weeks ago.
The 21-year-old, who has been a free agent since his release by Doncaster this summer, will go into the squad for Saturday's home game with Grays.
Ameobi started as a trainee at Leeds, before signing a one year contract at Doncaster Rovers in the summer of 2008.
He has had loan spells at Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Mansfield.
Ameobi is the brother of Newcastle United frontman Shola.
Rovers are yet to win this season and have scored only six league goals.
