Paul Tisdale sees relegation fight as quality problem

Tisdale guided Exeter to two successive promotions

Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale has described the club's relegation battle as a "high quality problem".

After two successive promotions, the Grecians are currently fourth from bottom in League One and without a win in eight games.

Tisdale told BBC Devon: "We just have to have a bit of perspective on what we're doing.

"People are desperate to do well and we know that, but we have to remember that this is a high quality problem."

The Grecians last took three points against Leeds United at home on 16 January, since when they have lost five and drawn three.

With League One survival now his most pressing priority, Tisdale said he is planning to change tactics for the remainder of the season.

He said: "[We'll have] more and more structure, probably less fluid football and more structure, and that's what we're going to go with for the next quarter of the season.

"Dealing with pressure is about knowing what the job is and not having to think and make too many decisions.

"If you know what your duties are you just concentrate on doing your duties and your role within the team."

Tisdale's men face a relegation six pointer away at Southend on Saturday.
