Daish's Fleet side were relegated after eight years in non-league's top flight
Ebbsfleet manager Liam Daish says he is more than satisfied with United's start to the season.
Following last season's relegation from the Blue Square Premier, Fleet lie fifth in Blue Square Bet South and are still in the FA Cup.
"In the middle of June I didn't even have any players," Daish, 42, told BBC Radio Kent.
"Considering we had to start from scratch in the summer, I would have taken where we are now."
Ebbsfleet are now preparing to play Boreham Wood twice inside eight days - firstly in the league on Saturday and then a week later in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup.
"We are in a decent run of form and we're looking forward to the games," added Daish.
"Confidence is fairly high. We're putting in good performances and creating chances so we've got to fancy ourselves at this moment in time."
Fleet are unbeaten away from home so far this season but Daish insisted: "I don't want to put the mockers on things as there's always a first time and I don't want it to be Saturday.
"If you start off well and start winning a few games then confidence breeds and so you go into games away from home thinking you can get something.
"It helps once players know that they can win away from home."
