Ebbsfleet's Moses Ashikodi asks for extra training
Ashikodi joined the Fleet last week after leaving Kettering
New Ebbsfleet United striker Moses Ashikodi has volunteered for extra training to sharpen his fitness.
The former Kettering striker, who scored on his Fleet debut in Tuesday's 2-1 home defeat by his old club, has been staying late at training.
Manager Liam Daish told BBC Radio Kent: "He is so keen to do well here that he's volunteered for extra training.
"He's been staying behind to put in extra work. That's the attitude we need if we're to stay up."
Ashikodi is expected to make his second home appearance in five days when he leads the Fleet attack on Saturday against fellow strugglers Forest Green Rovers.
Daish insisted there is no pressure or tension in the dressing room in the second half of the season.
"The question is how will they react to pressure?," he added. "We have a squad full of young players and there seems to be a lack of fear.
"I've told them to brave, bold and not to look back because all that matters is the future."
