Eastbourne boss Garry Wilson looks to refresh his squad

Wilson is certain his side can retain their Blue Square Premier status.

Eastbourne Borough boss Garry Wilson is keen to take full advantage of the January transfer window.

Borough are just one point clear of the Blue Square Premier bottom four and are without a league win in 14 attempts, the last victory coming in September.

"I think we really need to boost the side and make some changes as well," Wilson told BBC Sussex.

"We might have to be active [in the transfer window] with sending some players out and bringing some in."

He added: "Obviously there will be clubs looking for players, and we've got some players here that need games. What level they've got to go down to get those games will be another matter.

"I know we can get players in. That's easier part than putting players out. I think we can get two or three in, and send two or three out maybe, to give us that boost we need."

Borough have never been relegated in their history and Wilson is confident he can avoid bucking that trend.

"We never throw in the towel at this club and this is one of the hardest tasks we've had," he said.

"We've got ourselves into this position; we've now got to get ourselves out of it. We can do it."
