Derby County defender Jay McEveley has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a broken bone in his foot.
The left-back suffered the injury in the victory over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday and scans have confirmed a broken metatarsal in his left foot.
"It's a big blow," said boss Nigel Clough. "We are short of defenders and Jay has been playing extremely well."
Paul Green, Steve Davies and Miles Addison have already been sidelined with similar injuries.
