Derby have completed the signing of 21-year-old Blackburn Rovers defender James McEveley. The defender will move for an initial fee of �600,000 and has signed a three-and-a-half year deal after agreeing personal terms.
Rams boss Billy Davies said: "We are delighted to have Jay. He is an excellent young player.
"He gives us great competition and we are looking forward to working with him at the club."
McEveley has made 26 appearances for Blackburn since making his debut at the age of 17.
He has also had loan spells at Burnley, Gillingham and Ipswich and has represented England at under-21 level.
