Persistent drizzle denied Glamorgan the chance to press home their advantage over Derbyshire after the entire third day was lost to the weather.

Umpires Nigel Cowley and Michael Gough eventually abandoned play for the day at 1615 BST.

That was a frustration for Glamorgan, who had reduced Derbyshire to 37-2 in reply to their first innings total of 403-6 at the end of the second day.

With only one day remaining, a draw appears the probable result.
