Jewell spoke on the state of refereeing at an LMA meeting in Coventry
Derby County manager Paul Jewell wants refereeing decisions to be more transparent in the future.
Jewell has been discussing the state of refereeing in the Championship at a League Managers' Association meeting.
He told BBC Radio Derby: "The public are entitled to know why they've [referees] made a decision.
"It would be nice if the referee stood up and said the reason I did that was because of this, that or the other or I got it wrong."
All we want is a voice on the decision and rule making

Jewell was issued with a "please explain" notice by the Football Association for his comments about referee Stuart Attwell's decision's in Derby's eventful 1-1 draw with rivals Nottingham Forest on 2 November.
"All we [managers] want is a voice on the decision making, rule making and I don't think it's unfair of us to ask that," Jewell added.
The FA is seeking an urgent meeting with league managers to try to get its 'Respect' campaign back on track.
