Burton Albion have completed the loan signing of Cheltenham Town utility player Craig Armstrong.
The 33-year-old has signed a deal keeping him at the Pirelli Stadium until 1 January.
He began his career as a trainee with Nottingham Forest in 1992 - when Burton boss Nigel Clough was still a player at the City Ground.
Clough told BBC Radio Derby: "We want to have options all over the field so we don't have to move people around."
Armstrong told the club website: "I am here until January and nothing has been spoken about beyond that.
"First of all I have got to get into the side here and prove my worth and we can take it from there."
