Miles Addison has been rewarded with a new contract at Derby County after breaking into the first-team with two appearances in the past week.
The 19-year-old made his first start under Paul Jewell in the Carling League Cup win at Preston and played again in the Championship defeat at Barnsley.
The Derby manager has also switched the former Academy player from central defence to midfield.
The new deal will keep Addison at Pride Park until 2011.
