Oster has played for Everton, Leeds, Sunderland and Barnsley

Out-of-contract Wales international winger John Oster has joined Derby County for pre-season training.

The 29-year-old has been without a club since leaving Reading at the end of the 2007-08 campaign.

Oster's last game for the Royals was at Pride Park, when Reading were relegated on the final day of the Premier League last season.

During his career Oster has played for eight clubs with 199 starts, 102 substitute appearances and 24 goals.
