Oster has spent most of this season on the Reading bench |
Reading winger John Oster has extended his contract at the Madejski Stadium until the summer of 2008. The Wales international midfielder has made 17 appearances so far this season, having played a prominent role in their Championship title success last term.
"I feel I've been playing well and I'm looking forward to continuing to challenge for a place," said Oster, 28.
Director of football Nick Hammond added: "John has performed very well every time he's been called upon."
Despite being one of only a few Wales players attached to a Premiership club, Oster continues to be overlooked by national manager John Toshack.
He won his last cap in the 2-2 draw with Northern Ireland in 2004 under previous boss Mark Hughes.
