Blue Square Bet Premier side Darlington have signed MK Dons striker Daniel Powell on an initial month-long loan.
Luton-born Powell, 19, has spent time on loan at Crawley Town and Forest Green Rovers, and has made 30 full appearances for his parent club.
"He has first team experience with MK Dons, he's young and hungry," Quakers boss Mark Cooper said.
"He has the pace that we've been looking for. We're still hopeful of getting another face in."
Powell is in the squad for Saturday's visit of Wrexham.
Meanwhile Monday's goalless draw at York extended Darlington's unbeaten run to eight games, despite the absence of Michael Brough, Tommy Wright, Gareth Waite and Ian Miller.
Miller should return for Saturday's game but will have to wait on the fitness of the other three.
"We are limited with the injuries we've got. The players that were at York in the team and on the bench are the players we've got," added Cooper.
"If you look at the bench, there were a lot of young players on there, so we're limited in how we can changed it.
"Hopefully in the next week we'll have three of those four players back for selection.
"We've got four players sat in the stand at the moment that are a quarter of our budget, which tells you how significant they are and how much we miss them."
