Strachan replaced Gareth Southgate as Middlesbrough boss in October 2009
Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan says that he and his players are working hard to reverse their poor form.
Tuesday's 3-1 defeat at Derby County has left Boro lying 19th in the Championship, just three points above the relegation zone.
Strachan told BBC Tees: "I wouldn't like you to think we're not putting the hours in. I've tried everything.
"I don't take it for granted that it will change. We're doing loads of things, but what we try isn't working."
Kris Boyd gave Strachan's side the lead at Pride Park, but Shaun Barker equalised in first-half injury time before two second-half goals from Kris Commons extended Boro's winless away run to five games.
"I want us to get over these daft periods where we lose one (goal) and then lose another one or two straight after," added the former Celtic manager.
"It's not easy for anybody involved with Middlesbrough just now and we're not enjoying it.
"But I couldn't believe the fans tonight, they were still cheering at the end. It's phenomenal."
