Darlington manager Colin Todd has backed teenage striker Curtis Main to play a part for the club this season, despite a lack of experience.
Main, 16, made a handful of appearances for the club last season under former boss Dave Penney and Todd now feels the young striker is ready to step up.
"I think Curtis Main can give us something up front," he told BBC Tees.
Premier League side Fulham invited Main for a trial during the summer but decided against offering him a deal.
