Darlington manager Dave Penney has told his young players to take their chances as the club struggles with their perilous financial situation.
With the club in administration and a crippling injury list, youth team players have been given an opportunity and Penney has urged them to impress.
"We wanted some extra bodies in but we couldn't, so we've got to get on with it," he told BBC Tees.
"It gives the kids an extra chance to get some time under their belts."
One of the youngsters in contention for Tuesday's trip to Gillingham in League Two is striker Curtis Main.

The 16-year-old netted his first goal in the win against Grimsby a fortnight ago but Penney said the youngster still has plenty of work to do.
"In some of the positions the older players have a bit more would be more calculated," he said.
"You get that with young players, they want to do well which is great but they lack that composure of the senior players in the final third."
Darlington are 12th in League Two with 44 points from 33 games.
