Boro's players lost control when Digard was sent off against West Brom
Middlesbrough have been fined £6,000 by the Football Association for failing to control their players during their 3-0 defeat by West Brom on 17 January.
But £2,000 of the fine is suspended until the end of the 2009/10 season.
The FA brought the charge against the north-east club for the conduct of their players after referee Mark Halsey dismissed midfielder Didier Digard.
An FA statement revealed Boro had admitted the charge at a regulatory commission hearing on Thursday.
