Todd has been in charge at Darlington since May

Darlington have cancelled their friendly with Middlesbrough next week because of a lack of players.

The Quakers' already small squad has been further dented by a number of injuries which has forced the decision.

Colin Todd's men were due to play the Championship side at The Arena on Wednesday night.

Todd said: "The injuries have left us with no choice. I've spoken to Gareth Southgate and he was understanding, so we're grateful to him and Boro."
