Darlington player-coach Dean Windass is prepared to lead his new side's attack in this season's League Two campaign.
Windass, 40, is one of just two strikers on the books at the Arena and believes he is in good shape to spearhead the Quakers' front line.
"I'll keep myself fit, Colin knows about that and if I play I'll do it properly," he told BBC Look North.
"I want to score a few goals, but hopefully we'll get a few strikers to keep me out of the team."
Windass' career has taken in top-flight football both in Enland and north of the border, representing his hometown club Hull City in the Premier League and Aberdeen in the Scottish Premier League.

With a wealth of experience under his belt, he is keen to remain involved in the game both on and off the field, and admitted he feels lucky to have landed a managerial and coaching post at a relatively early stage.
"Football's been part of my life for 20-odd years now and it's the best job in the world," he said.
"I'm very fortunate to still be playing at 40 years old, to have a career like I've had and immediately get an assistant managers job when a lot of ex-players and managers are out of work.
"I'm very honoured that Colin's chosen me and I'll do my best."
Windass has made more than 600 league appearances and scored 200 league goals in his career, which began with non-league Ferriby United in 1990.
