Darlington have pulled out of the Durham County Challenge Cup stating a lack of available players.

The Quakers were due to face Consett in the second round but a club statement has confirmed the club's withdrawal from the competition.

In other ties Birtley face South Shields, Darlington RA host Durham City, Norton are at home to Tow Law and Shildon play Ryton.

Sunderland reserves are the current holders of the competition.
