Foran returned to Darlington in October after a summer of rehabilitation
Darlington assistant manager Martin Gray has hailed striker Richie Foran after he returned to action in Saturday's 2-0 win against Lincoln.
Foran, 28, returned to the club on loan in October after recovering from a serious knee injury and Gray has been happy with his progress.
"He's done ever so well and he's missed six or seven months of football since last season," he told BBC Tees.
"It was a big test for him and he used his experience very well."
The Irishman laid on a goal for his team-mate Liam Hatch and scored one himself as the Quakers clinched the win that kept them top of League Two.
But Gray is keen for the club to remain grounded and not to lose focus on their short-term targets, notably the prospect of Droylsden in their FA Cup replay.
"We're in a great position, there's a lot of hard work to do and we want to stay there.
"But it's important that we concentrate on the FA Cup, we've got a job to do.
"It's important that we take the same drive and attitude into that Droylsden game and not take them lightly.
