Peter Gain scored his only goal for the Daggers in February 2008

Dagenham and Redbridge midfielder Peter Gain has signed a one-year contract extension which ties him to the club until May 2010.

Gain joined from Peterborough United in January 2008 and has played every minute of the League Two season so far.

The 31-year-old former Tottenham trainee has also played for Lincoln.

Meanwhile, young defender Anthony Cook has moved to Ryman Premier Division high-flyers Carshalton Athletic on a one-month loan.
