Peterborough's Peter Gain has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent. But the former Lincoln midfielder, 31, is not likely to be out of work for long, with Mansfield and Dagenham & Redbridge interested in his services.
Gain joined Posh from the Imps in the summer of 2005 and managed 80 appearances in all competitions.
He was frozen out of the first-team picture this season and though boss Darren Ferguson initially wanted to keep him, the player has now moved on.
