Gain helped Lincoln to the play-off final where they lost to Southend |
Peterborough have completed the capture of left-sided midfielder Peter Gain from Lincoln City. Posh manager Mark Wright wants Gain, 28, to aid the club's promotion push.
"He is widely respected and arguably the best left-sided player in League Two," Posh director of football Barry Fry told the club's website.
"We have been after him for quite some time, and it is great that he has decided to come here. He has signed a three-year contract."
He added: "Peter was the first player that Mark Wright identified when he came here and we're delighted to sign such a good player."
Gain had been offered a new deal by Lincoln after making 261 senior appearances for the Imps since joining from Tottenham in 1999 - but has now moved to London Road.
