Morrison was in the Republic of Ireland's 2002 World Cup squad
Clinton Morrison may have called time on his days at Palace after failing to return for pre-season training.
The Republic of Ireland striker, who returned from Birmingham City for a second spell three years ago, has rejected a new deal.
Manager Neil Warnock told BBC London 94.9: "He didn't reply to our contract offer, and likewise his representative told me he's speaking to a few clubs."
Morrison, 29, is the club's fifth highest all-time scorer with 113 goals.
He scored 16 goals last season, most of which came in an inspired mid-season run of 11 in 14 games, to help the club to the Championship play-offs.
But Warnock is holding no grudges over Morrison's decision to seek a better offer.
"It's one of those things," he said. "I respect Clinton too much.
"He knows the way I'm going to play next year and he's better in a 4-4-2.
"He didn't really want to come back and not get a game and get frustrated.
"He's such an important part here. And, you never know, I've not heard from him yet.
