Carle made his debut in City's 2-0 defeat to Palace in January
Bristol City midfielder Nick Carle has completed his move to Championship rivals Crystal Palace.
The 26-year-old Australian international has signed a four-year contract with the London club.
Carle only joined the Robins in January but played against Palace four times in those six months.
The transfer fee is undisclosed but it was expected to exceed the 500,000 City paid Turkish club Genclerbirligi for Carle.
It is believed Palace manager Neil Warnock has signed the attacking midfielder as a replacement for Ben Watson, who has turned down a new contract at Selhurst Park.
Carle made 20 appearances for City last season but failed to score any goals.
