The 26-year-old Aussie international has signed a three-and-a-half year deal after being granted a visa.

"I'm delighted it's sorted. It's great to be here," said Sydney-born Carle. "It's exciting for me and my family."

City, out of the FA Cup but still third in the Championship, are also in talks with Huddersfield Town to turn Phil Jevons' loan into a permanent transfer.
