Carle has played just 16 times for his Turkish club |
Bristol City have agreed a deal with Turkish club Genclerbirligi to sign Australian international Nick Carle. The 26-year-old midfielder is waiting for his visa to come through after agreeing terms with high-riding City.
Carle, who has won seven caps, impressed for the Socceroos against Nigeria at Craven Cottage in November.
"He'll give us competition," manager Gary Johnson told BBC Radio Bristol. "He's a busy player and a good player and he'll enhance the squad."

Carle, who is of Chilean descent, had a spell at French side Troyes earlier in his career, as well as playing for Australian sides Sydney Olympic, Marconi Stallions and Newcastle United Jets.
The Robins are confident Carle's paperwork will come through in the next 10 days after agreeing an undisclosed fee with his Turkish side.
He told the club website: "It has been a hectic five weeks trying to arrange the move and I think we have ticked all the boxes in terms of the visa requirements."
