The Catalan joined Arsenal from Barcelona as a 16-year-old in 2003 and it was reported that Fabregas, following the departures of Mathieu Flamini, Alexander Hleb and Gilberto Silva this summer, could be the latest high-profile name to leave the Emirates Stadium.
"I have not spoken to any media so it's frustrating to read quotes that I have supposedly said about my future," he added.
"I have spent the summer relaxing with my family, friends and girlfriend and I return to training with Arsenal (on Tuesday)."
