Kolinko to stay at Palace
Alex Kolinko
Kolinko's Palace future has been in doubt
Alex Kolinko has been fined two weeks' wages for refusing to play for Crystal Palace but will be reinstated to the first-team squad to face Leeds.

The Latvian goalkeeper walked out on Palace two hours before their First Division clash with Leicester City on 1 February and handed in his notice.

He also missed the FA Cup fourth round replay win over Liverpool at Anfield.

But Kolinko earned a reprieve after a crunch meeting with chairman Simon Jordan and will be on the bench for the fifth round tie at Selhurst Park on Sunday.

Eagles manager Trevor Francis said: "Alex is currently away on international duty but he will train with us on Friday. I understand he's been fined two weeks pay.

"My philosophy is that whoever's on the payroll, if they can help us win games I will play them and I think he can help us."

Francis was fined by the Football Association earlier this season after Kolinko accused him of hitting him in the face.
