Shaun Miller has made 99 appearances in all competitions for Crewe
Striker Shaun Miller believes Crewe Alexandra have the squad depth to mount a promotion challenge this season.
Manager Dario Gradi has made six new signings since May, as he attempts to improve significantly on the 18th-placed finish last season.
"We've got a couple of players for each position which will help throughout the season," Miller told BBC Radio Stoke.
"We've got a lot of quality in the squad, I thought we did last season, but I think we've got a good chance."
The Alex have added Lee Bell, David Artell, Rhys Taylor, Danny Blanchett, Adam Dugdale and Antoni Sarcevic to their squad during the summer.
Miller, 22, started up front alongside Clayton Donaldson and Calvin Zola, and scored the only goal in the 1-0 victory over Blackpool at the Alexandra Stadium on Tuesday.
"We always know that we're dangerous and the manager has said that if we can convert a few more chances, we'll be pretty deadly," added Miller.
Crewe start the League Two season at home to Hereford on 7 August.
