Michael O'Connor has returned to Crewe Alexandra after completing a one-month loan spell at League Two side Lincoln.
The 21-year-old midfielder made 10 appearances during his time at Sincil Bank, scoring one goal.
The Northern Ireland international was frozen out by manager Gudjon Thordarson for a string of disciplinary incidents.
It prompted O'Connor, whose last game for Crewe came on 24 February, to say he would not play again for the Alex while Thordarson was in charge.
O'Connor trained with the rest of the squad on Tuesday morning, but he will not be involved in the crucial relegation clash against Cheltenham at the Alexandra Stadium on Saturday.
He begins a two-match suspension after collecting his 10th yellow card of the season in Lincoln's 0-0 draw with Luton on Saturday.
