Thordarson's side lie one point above the relegation zone in League One
Crewe manager Gudjon Thordarson has said his squad will be given some time away from the club after a punishing spell of fixtures in League One.
The Alex have played 13 matches in six weeks, culminating in a 1-0 defeat by Millwall on Saturday.
Thordarson told BBC Radio Stoke: "I will give the players a few days off. We've had a tough schedule which has been hard on them.
"It's important for them to have a rest and look after themselves."
Millwall debutant Jason Price scored an injury-time winner to secure a win for the Lions at the Alexandra Stadium, to leave Crewe just one point above the relegation zone with six matches to go.
"We felt we deserved something and we would have taken a point," said Thordarson. "Millwall are a good side, make no mistake about that.
"At the final whistle their manager [Kenny Jackett] came to me and almost apologised for the win, but that's the nature of football."
The Alex are waiting on injuries suffered by midfielders Byron Moore (thigh) and Mark Carrington (groin), which forced both players to be replaced during the game.
