Crewe defender Julian Baudet has said he wants to stay with the League One club when his current contract ends.

Baudet's current deal expires in June, with the 30-year-old attracting interest from Major League Soccer side Colorado Rapids.

He told BBC Radio Stoke: "I would love to stay here but its not down to me yet, I will keep playing and then see what happens."

Baudet joined the Alex from Notts County in June 2006.

The Frenchman scored his his first goal of the season in Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Leeds United.

However Baudet was left frustrated by the officiating at the Alexandra Stadium.

Crewe full-back Billy Jones was sent off for collecting two bookings, the second of which was for dissent towards the female assistant referee.

"The decisions she made were laughable, but it's not funny when you're at the bottom of the league," said Baudet.
