Grant signed from Aldershot for 130,000 last June
Crewe midfielder Joel Grant thinks he is coming to terms with League One.
Grant, 21, has been in and out of the Alex team since his summer move from Aldershot, with whom he won the Blue Square Premier last season.
"As a footballer you can always learn, especially with a new manager. I've been learning since day one," he told BBC Radio Stoke.
"It's been enjoyable for me, but it's also been disappointing. Hopefully we can finish the season happy."
The 21-year-old Londoner came off the bench at half-time and scored the winning goal in the 2-1 victory over Tranmere on Saturday, a result that lifted the Alex off the bottom of League One.
Previous to that, he had only played 15 minutes of first-team football since Boxing Day, and Grant hopes his match-winning contribution will catapult him back into boss Gudjon Thordarson's plans.
He added: "Coming off the bench it's all about making an impact. I had 45 minutes against Tranmere and luckily for me it went well.
"It's always the aim to start games, I haven't been involved recently but now that I've got back in I'll be looking to keep pushing on and doing well."
Crewe's game against Yeovil on Tuesday was postponed because of snow, meaning their next match is away at MK Dons on Saturday.
