Marlon Broomes is just happy to be back playing league football again
On-loan Blackpool defender Marlon Broomes would consider staying longer than his month's loan with League One strugglers Crewe Alexandra.
Broomes, 31, told BBC Radio Stoke: "I just want to play as many games as I can having had a torrid time with injuries. Then I'll see what happens."
After signing for the Alex earlier this week, he is in line for his home debut against Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.
Crewe are bottom of the table, having conceded a total of 58 league goals.
Prior to his first game for Crewe in the 4-2 defeat at Peterborough on Tuesday night, Broomes had played just six minutes of first team football this season, as a late substitute for Blackpool on his Seasiders debut in September.
Birmingham-born Broomes was signed by Simon Grayson at Blackpool in June following his release from Crewe's neighbours Stoke City.
Having began his career with Blackburn Rovers, Broomes has also played for Sheffield Wednesday and Preston, as well as having loans at Swindon Town, QPR and Grimsby Town.
