Defender John Brayford believes confidence among the Crewe squad is growing despite the Alex languishing at the bottom of League One.
Saturday's 0-0 draw at third-placed Millwall followed a 1-0 win over Swindon Town the previous week.
Brayford told BBC Radio Stoke: "The last two games mean we're going into Christmas full of confidence.
"We're a team who can score goals and, now we've kept two consecutive clean sheets, we are slowly improving."
The Alex are expected to name Steve Holland's successor as manager this week with John Ward and Gudjon Thordarson vying for the post.

"Whoever comes in will get a squad that is full of spirit," said Brayford.
"We're starting to pick up points so the new manager will be able to build on that and hopefully help us progress even further."
