Blackpool midfielder Stuart Green has joined League One strugglers Crewe Alexandra on a one-month loan deal.
The 27-year-old is expected to make his debut when the Railwaymen entertain Leyton Orient at the Alexandra Stadium on Saturday.
He told BBC Radio Stoke: "It's a fantastic club, I'm excited about joining and looking forward to playing.
"I haven't come here just to get fit and get games, I've come here to play well and hopefully score goals."
First-team coach Steve Holland said: "It's not been easy to sign an experienced player who is still athletic enough to make the improvement we are looking for.
"He's an attacking midfield player with an eye for goal so we're happy to get that deal done."
Green, who began his career with Newcastle United, also played for Hull City before joining the Seasiders from Crystal Palace in February.
He has made just one appearance this season, coming off the bench in the 2-0 Carling Cup defeat to Macclesfield Town.
"I've been working hard in training and in the reserve games waiting for a move like this to happen," said Green. "I'm delighted to be given this opportunity and however long it may be, I'm really looking forward to it."
